According to Greg Sterling of Internet2Go, Nokia is falling seriously out of favor with analysts. Sterling claims ’you may as well stick in a fork’ in Nokia’s prospects in the US. The Finnish company’s share in smartphones has also been declining in the face of continued competition from rivals Apple, and BlackBerry maker RIM

Nokia are planning to launch a selection of new devices this year regardless of the growing pressure being applied by Apple and RIM (Research In Motion). Analysts say that the Finnish telecom company may still struggle to maintain its current top position in the mobile phone market. Three new smartphones all with touchscreens and a portable notebook PC will be launched and they will partner Microsoft to enable the running of the popular software on the handsets.
