The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Google Nexus S smartphone by Samsung is coming to Vodafone UK soon, they should release soon but the exact date is a mystery that we will keep a close eye on. According to T3 a white version of the Samsung Google Nexus S handset will be offered to customers via Vodafone UK (Even Apple cannot make a white iPhone), the Nexus S should make an impact in the UK with Vodafone customers. To Date the Android smartphone was only available through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy and now that Vodafone will put it to market sales figures should rise a little, the specs will be the main selling point here with 1GHZ Cortex A8 processor, 5 MP camera with autofocus, 4-inch touchscreen and the all important Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread operating system

For some the new Android 2.3.2 update for the Google Nexus S smartphone is now available, it is rolling out gradually so please be patient. We decided to visit Android Central to see what was happening today and there it was the new update for the Google Nexus S; apparently this new software update is for the SMS bug fix that users have been waiting on. So we decided to a look a little more into this and decided to visit XDA Developers Forum and see if any problems have occurred, and yes there were a few.

If you were to think that the Consumer Electronics Show is overwhelming you couldn’t be more correct and that would be an understatement. Over 20,000 new products have been launched from flashy 3D televisions, super ultra thin plasma screens, the latest e-readers and of course not forgetting some new Android phones. Google and HTC stole the show really though with the launch of the very much talked about Google Nexus One.
Obviously now that the Nexus One superphone is available it was inevitable that someone would make a video which compared Google’s latest Android device against the iconic iPhone, and would you believe the first question asked was is the Nexus One the iPhone killer. In the video below, CBS tech correspondent Daniel Sieberg talks about the Nexus One and its features and also compares it to the iPhone and says “this is really a truly Google phone.” Basically the main differences they come up with between the Nexus One and iPhone is price, carrier, camera and battery life which the Nexus One wins on all counts apparently, although Sieberg does say that the Nexus One doesn’t have iTunes and content can be king. He also boils it down to a battle between Google and Apple over the dollar and advertising and so both are going at it big time; that’s it so hit up the video below and enjoy
