Back in October 2000, Vodafone purchased a 2.18 percent stake in China Mobile at a cost of $2.5 billion and then followed in 2002 with another purchase for $750 million taking their stake in China Mobile up to 3.27 percent. However, according to an article over on Intomobile by Stefan Constantinescu, and by way of the AFP , Vodafone is now considering selling off their interest in China Mobile and looking for a sum of $6.2 billion for their stake.

T Mobile USA have announced a range of offers which will be in place in time for Fathers Day. The offer is running on Saturday June 19th and according to the carrier all handsets will be free. The Android packing Motorola Milestone according to Motorola India’s website is listed as up for sale on several store, and resellers and even eBay India and according to an article over on only gizmos this is the first time any mobile company in India has taken the online medium as one of their official mobile sales channels.
It has been known that the LG LU2300 has been rumoured to be coming from LG for a while now, but today we gain a little more insight into the first LD Android smartphone sporting a slide out keyboard courtesy of the guys over at electricpig . According to the info gained from Android France , the LG LU2300 is an Android smartphone packing a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and is the first to feature a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and is due release next month in South Korea. Spec wise the LG LU2300 reportedly sports a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p video support, Android 2.1 operating system, WiFi, GPS, and a digital TV tuner.

In the past we have seen quite a few smartphones being hacked to use other operating systems, only recently we have seen the Windows Phone 7 OS being ported to HTC HD2 although Microsoft said the HTC HD2 wouldn’t be upgradeable to their latest OS. Although personally I am not a hacker or even that technically minded, I got to thinking why hasn’t anyone hacked the hottest operating system around onto the hottest smartphone around? Of course I am taking about hacking the Android OS onto the Apple iPhone , I’m not sure whether this has been attempted in the past but think it would be an interesting project for some hacker to attempt.
There has been quite a bit of speculation over if or when Verizon Wireless would actually get the HTC Incredible smartphone, but according to an article over on gizmodo there has now been confirmation that the HTC Incredible is coming to the Big Red. Apparently the confirmation of the Verizon HTC Incredible smartphone comes via Twitter from @VZWOffers which was spotted by the guys over at gearlog
