News regarding the UK release date for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phone, is that it will be released on 31 March 2011.

If you can’t wait until LG releases the first mobile phone with a stereoscopic 3D screen… you can always give this 3d Tetris clone a go: Block’em 3D. A fun retro game, with or without the funny colored glasses. Before you think “3D Tetris, what a novel idea!” it’s not.

For those who own a Microsoft Windows Phone 7 device who haven’t as yet been able to get in on some thieving green pig crushing action via the highly successful multi-platform game Angry Birds, you just might be getting to play nice with Angry Birds in the not too distant future. According to an article over on Unwired View and by way of the guys over at Pocket-lint , Angry Birds maker Rovio has told Pocket-lint they are planning to bring the popular mobile game to the Windows Phone 7 platform. Apparently Peter Vesterbacka, of Rovio has said… “We’re working on it,” and that it is Microsoft that has held up Angry Birds coming to Windows Phone 7, saying…”Let’s just say, Microsoft has a lot of lawyers.” However, just when WP7 is likely to see a version of Angry Birds is not yet known, so it could take donkeys or happen quite soon

Clash of the Titans: The Movie game has been announced by Glu Mobile and will be available for BREW, J2ME and Windows Mobile devices, this movie is very hot indeed and so much so I will be watching it today in 3D at the cinema. This movie-based game on the film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures will be a smash hit; this game will have a worldwide launch.

The guys over at engaget recently spoke with the head of the gaming group at Palm and he showed off the Unreal Engine 3 running on Palm’s webOS platfrom which they ported over by means of the Palm PDK, and of course the guys wouldn’t miss the opportunity to grab the occasion on video. They say the Unreal Engine 3 runs fairly smoothly on webOS with only a small bit of artifacting, and Palm has it set up to demo the game at 1 fps when in card view

There’s a new mobile game out for the BlackBerry Storm called Road Mania by Mobigloo which is challenging, addictive and fun, and all the player needs to do is keep the traffic flowing. The BlackBerry Storm user simply avoid crashes as vehicles approach busy junctions from all directions, so the user needs to use their skill to speed up with a flick of the finger or put the breaks on by tapping on the vehicle. Road Mania for the BlackBerry Storm features nine scenes, cars, bikes, trucks, pick-ups, busses, a tramway and convertibles, and has great graphics, is said to be ‘highly addictive and works on both the BlackBerry Storm 9530 and 9500 and commands a price tag of $4.99

Apparently 5 classic Fighting Fantasy game titles are being developed for the Apple iPhone reports gamers daily news ; the 5 games are Citadel of Chaos, Deathtrap Dungeon, Warlock of Firetop Mountain, City of Thieves, and Creature of Havoc. The word is the Fighting Fantasy games will begin with Warlock of Firetop Mountain hitting the iPhone in October and apparently more titles will follow in the months after. The Fighting Fantasy development for the iPhone will bring the classic ctory, and original illustrations with a tech twist to iPhone gamers and Fighting Fantasy fans alike

According to a report on macworld Konami has now brought Power Pros Touch to the Apple iPhone, a series famous in Japan called Jikkyo Powerful Pro Yakyu and famous for arcade baseball action. Power Pros Touch for the iPhone allows the user to play an exhibition game or opt to play a whole season of 25, 50 or 162 games and set the number of innings per game as well as set difficulty
