Altek have announced a new 12 megapixel camera, the Altek T8680 and dubbed a “professional cameraphone.” The Altek T8680’s camera lens on the rear extends just like a digital camera and looking at its back one wouldn’t think it is a GSM mobile phone . Apparently there is also a separate dedicated imaging processor inside the Altek T8680 handset and delivers professional results, also smile detection, touch focus and numerous shooting and scenes modes, and a Xenon flash.
